Only Fools & Horses

2 of our most famous male mannequins recently took part in the Only Fools and Horses Convention in Maidstone organised by OnlyFools.Net. The mannequins were dressed up in those famous Batman and Robin costumes that Del Boy (Sir David Jason) and Rodney Trotter (Nicholas Lindhurst) wore in one of the episodes of Britains most popular sitcom, Only Fools and Horses. Can you guess which mannequins were used?! Thanks to Perry for hiring out the mannequins and sending these pictures to us!

And do you recognise this guy? He was on the X Factor doing the dodgy MJ impression – David.

Mannakin mannequins star on Trinny and Susannah ‘Undress the Nation’

New Series Starts Wednesday 30 July at 9pm.

Mannakin Ltd has supplied mannequins for the new series of Trinny & Susannah Undress the Nation. Roz Mita, Director of Mannakin Ltd says, “It is great to see our mannequins on such a popular show. The mannequins are really getting about this year, attending celebrity dress auctions in London and featuring on an album cover, as well as appearing in the first and final episodes of Trinny & Susannah Undress the Nation. It is not all about shop windows!”

Mannakin offers a range of models for sale and hire, for parties, photo shoots and events as well as retail use. Unusually, the business also has a mannequin liquidation and recycling service, to help remedy the issue of mannequin dumping in landfill. With mannequins named after characters like John Barrowman’s Captain Jack or famous names including Mr Humphries, plus a ‘casualty’ range of reconstructed low cost dummies, Mannakin offers a personal and inspired service.

To find out about mannequin sales and hire, visit www.manakin.co.uk where the price displayed includes delivery, collection and VAT, or call 01636 610033 or 07757 513 584.

Elvis Isn’t Dead!

Fresh back from his assignment in Sonning, Berkshire – Captain Jack had to be rushed into Dollby City for an emergency hand operation. He had been attending a scarecrow competition dressed as Elvis.

More than 75 scarecrows took part in the trail at the weekend, including those dressed as Noddy and Big Ears, St Trinian’s schoolgirls, a couch potato, Bill Oddie and a traffic warden. More than £10,000 was raised by the event and the money will go towards specialist equipment for the local primary school, internal décor for St Andrew’s Church and safety fencing for the village playground.

Elvis Isn't Dead!

His injuries happened after he fell over. Christine Andrews, who had hired him as part of the scarecrow competition commented, ‘Captain Jack was dressed as an Elvis scarecrow and the title was ‘Elvis Isn’t Dead’, but he looked it when he fell over!’

Captain Jack was unable to comment, but his publicist reported that he had really enjoyed this role and wanted his fans to know that it was an accidental falling over and not a result of recent rumours about his alleged tomfoolery.
