The Newark Show, held annually is one of the biggest agricultural shows in the country. We sponsored the stand for the National Farmers Union with ten realistic mannequins to communicate the vast range of careers available within the farming industry. Here are a selection of images taken at the show. The stand won a Gold Award for the best non-commercial stand and a Silver Award for the best stand overall. The Mannakins were naturally very pleased.

The world premiere of Before I Sleep, commissioned by the Brighton Festival started yesterday.

Before I Sleep is a site-responsive promenade production inspired by The Cherry Orchard, specially designed for the former Co-operative department store on London Road.

The characters in Chekhov’s greatest plays inhabit a world on the verge of collapse. They look out to the future and wonder what life will be like in years to come, unaware that, for them, it is about to change dramatically and irreversibly. Their future is now our present.

132 (no less) of our mannequins have been integrated into the set design and we are very proud to be working with such an exciting production.

We have been listed as a finalist in the Newark Business Awards for Successful New Business. We are of course very honoured to have reached this stage in the process and have all our fingers and toes crossed to win, including all the mannequins fingers and toes, or at least the flexible ones .

We did enter last year, but didn’t get a look in, so we must have really impressed the judges so far and indeed we have come a long way from a year ago. We are up against the Vertical Pole Fitness Company and Wilson Energy, so whomever of us wins, we are sure it is a massive achievement!

This year the organisers have compiled short video interviews and we had great fun doing ours.

The grand finale is on November 25th and the guest speaker at the event is Sir Alans right hand man, Nick Hewer, so we are really looking forward to the event.

This week I have been delighted to meet, face to face, with my double act from the United States. Judi Townsend, owner of Mannequin Madness won a competition to fly to London with British Airways. We are both very grateful for the competition otherwise perhaps we would never have got round to meeting in person. Judi and I share the same passion for mannequins and recycling but also a unique connection in terms of how we want to move our businesses forward. So without further ado, we can now announce that we are going to become strategic partners and work together, serving mannequins out to customers on both side of the pond. Here we both are, pictured holding our identical sitting mannequin oscars which are to symbolise our unique connection with mannequins and outstanding customer service.

We were delighted to support upcoming designer, Louise Amstrup during her presentation at the Freemasons Hall for London Fashion Week. She used our PUCCI mannequins to highlight her collection.

Undoubtedly the most talented artist at this years Glastonbury Festival was Lady Gaga. How honoured we were to see her appear live on stage with our mannequins.

We are back after a successful trip with the mannequins to Glastonbury Festival. Not only did they stand on stage for the duration, they also appeared with Lady Gaga – when she did her secret gig at Club Dada, Shangri La. We were delighted as she announced how much she enjoyed performing with the mannequins. Kelvin Clone even had his privates fondled by her! (He is now charging double his usual hire fee!) We were recently asked to supply mannequins for George, the clothing arm of ASDA supermarkets. Our brief was to supply family groups in white.
